Gold Coin Contest

The winners of the gold coin contest were;
First Place - Rodney Harness with coins, He won a 1/10th ounce gold American Eagle coin.
Second Place - Steve Lowery with coins. He won an 8 ounce silver round.
Third place - Ralph Waldrop with coins. He won a 5 ounce silver bar.
Congratulations to our club winners. A new contest will begin with our August meeting and the rules have been revised to provide a more equal and level playing field for all. Instead of recording the total number of coins found, we will be recording the total value of the coins found. After 3 months we will average the amounts found and this will be your one time replacement amount if you should happen to miss a meeting and hunt. The cost to participate will be $3.00 per month or $36 for the year if you wish to pay all at one time. If you sign up for this contest you must pay the fee every month even if you miss a meeting. You may drop out of the contest at any time but you forfeit the money paid to that date.
